Iron Maiden are officially coming to Australia for their Run For Your Lives tour so dust off those leather pants and start smudging your eyeliner. The legendary band has been around since the 1970s and show no sign of slowing down on their world tour, knowing fine well their Australian fans will welcome them with open arms.
In what will be their eighth tour in Australia (marking their 50th year anniversary as a band!) the competition to be with Bruce, Steve, Dave, Adrian, Janick and Nicko as they perform will be fierce.
“I can promise our fans that they are in for a real treat with this setlist and show,” Rod Smallwood, the band’s long-time manager said about the upcoming Australian tour.
However, the band are asking fans to do one thing if they decide to rock up and, apparently, it’s completely changed the vibe of their tour so far.

Fans asked to ‘severely limit’ phone use at shows
The band announced they want fans to “severely limit” phone use at their shows and even went as far as to say they want fans to “ideally just keep it in their pockets the whole time”.
“It was really special on our European dates last year to see that the vast majority of our fans appreciated and respected our request to severely limit their use of phones at our concerts,” Smallwood said in a statement. “Our fans’ understanding and cooperation made a colossal difference to the atmosphere of every show and increased the enjoyment enormously for the band and fans alike.
“Therefore we ask all our fans in Australia and New Zealand to do the same and enjoy the show ‘in the moment’ rather than film on their phones. Please keep them in your pockets.”
