In a rare public appearance, actor Kevin Costner took to the 2024 Cannes Film Festival red carpet alongside his children.
Despite featuring in some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, such as Field of Dreams, The Bodyguard, and Man of Steel, the 69-year-old has kept his family life largely out of the public eye, with many fans growing more curious to learn about the actor’s seven children.

Kevin Costner has seven children between the ages of 13 and 40.
The 69-year-old shares his three eldest children, Annie, 40, Lily, 37, and Joe, 36, with his first wife Cindy Silva.
In 1996, Kevin welcomed son Liam, 28, following his brief partnership with Bridget Rooney.
Throughout his 18-year marriage with ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, Kevin welcomed his three youngest children, Cayden Wyatt, 17, Hayes Logan, 15, and Grace Avery, 14.
Annie Costner, 40
Born April 15, 1984, Annie Costner is the eldest of Kevin Costner’s seven children and his first child with his then-wife Cindy Silva.
Joining the world of film at an early age, six-year-old Annie famously starred as Christine alongside her father in Dances with Wolves. Seven years later, Annie returned to set alongside Kevin during the production of The Postman, with Annie portraying the character of Ponytail.
Continuing to further her career in the film industry, Annie co-founded the production company Sound Off Films alongside documentary filmmaker Adrienne Hall.
Lily Costner, 37
Kevin’s second-eldest child, daughter Lily, was born in Los Angeles on August 4, 1986.
While she may have starred alongside her father and siblings in The Postman, the 37-year-old has found herself in the music world, contributing her vocals and songwriting to multiple film soundtracks.
Most recently, Lily joined Kevin in the studio to perform a duet titled Heaven’s Gate, which was featured on Kevin’s 2021 Yellowstone-inspired album, Tales from Yellowstone.
Joe Costner, 36
Born January 31, 1998, Joe Costner is the youngest of Kevin and Cindy’s three children.
In keeping with his elder siblings, Joe has pursued a career in the entertainment industry, working as an audio engineer and sound production specialist in Los Angeles.
Speaking on his eldest son’s career, Kevin told HuffPost in 2014, “He’s really gifted in music. He’s settling in on what his journey will be… I think the best indication of Joe is that he’s a solid person and his friends are really solid.”
Liam Costner, 28
Born November 15, 1996, Liam Costner is Kevin’s only child with his former partner Bridget Rooney.
Throughout his life, Liam has remained out of the spotlight and is believed to currently be working as a real estate agent.
Cayden Wyatt Costner, 17
Three years after he tied the knot with Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner welcomed his fifth child, son Cayden Wyatt, on May 6, 2007.
Now in his final year of high school at Santa Barbara’s prestigious Laguna Blanca School, Cayes is also an accomplished athlete, participating in the local varsity football tournaments.
Speaking on becoming a father again at 50, Kevin told Good Housekeeping, “I don’t kid myself about certain realities. I won’t be around to see as much of this one’s life as I’ll get to see of my older kids so with him, I really want to be there for every single moment I can.”

Hayes Logan Costner, 15
On February 12, 2009, Kevin and Cindy welcomed their youngest son, Hayes Logan Costner.
Similarly to his older brother, Hayes is also an accomplished athlete, with Kevin previously revealing that he had taken a liking to Little League baseball in his adolescence.
Hayes has also starred alongside his father in his upcoming Western film Horizon. Speaking on his decision to cast his youngest son, Kevin told People, “He’s very good, but I kind of did it on purpose so he could be hanging out with me.”
Grace Avery Costner, 14
Born June 2, 2010, Grace Avery is the youngest of Kevin Costner’s seven children.
While Grace has spent her childhood largely out of the spotlight, she has made a handful of red-carpet appearances alongside her siblings – appearing most recently at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
