Speaking to British Vogue, Margot, who is about to turn 31, admitted she finds it hard to sleep at night as her mind often fills with “scenarios” and “worries.”

“I lie there and try and figure out what to do about climate change, and then remember that thing I said seven years ago that came out wrong, and what’s on my to-do list for tomorrow…,” she mused, adding that she’s considering “slowing down.”

“I don’t know if it’s because I’m in my thirties now, or because life took… a very strange turn. Over Covid, I was home for longer than I’ve ever stayed anywhere. I’ve been moving at a million miles an hour for as long as I can remember,” the actress, who married Tom Ackerley in 2016, explained.

“It can feel a little scary sometimes. But now I finally feel like it’s OK to… sit still? Or even sit this one out. That’s a feeling I haven’t had before.”

That said, Margot admits she has other ambitions.

“I want to direct. I’d like to try writing. Those would be huge challenges, which to be honest, I might not pull off. I also think directing is a privilege and not a right. But I have a story that’s been in my head for years. And I need to put pen to paper and see if it looks ridiculous or not.”

The award-winning actress and producer added that she’s passionate about bringing women into action movies.

“From a business or statistical standpoint, those are the high-paying jobs. So I really want to advocate for women writing big blockbuster action films. And then also, the perception that women aren’t interested in action is ridiculous,” Margot said.

“Plus, they’re really, really fun.”

Margot and husband Tom Ackerley hinted that they’re ready for a change after putting their four-bedroom LA home in the trendy suburb of Hancock Park up for sale for $4.46 million.

The couple hope to make a profit on the $3.9 million they paid for it back in 2017.
