Fans cheered when Chris Jensen left the Married At First Sight experiment after one too many clashes with his wife Jaimie Gardner, but now the TV bride has made a very cryptic statement about her time on the show.

Taking to Instagram, the 34-year-old senior brand manager shared a photo of herself in her wedding dress on the day she “married” her MAFS groom.

“What a showdown! Masking my own truth and being held accountable for someone else’s insecurities has been utterly exhausting,” she wrote in the caption.

“I’m grateful that the experience has taught me to trust my gut, stand up for myself and put my own needs at the forefront.”

Jaimie added: “Whilst I didn’t meet my ‘perfect’ man (because that doesn’t exist) I have more clarity on what I do and don’t need in my life. I am ready for a real and genuine man that is ready for a mature relationship. Here’s to hoping I’ll meet ‘the one’ someday soon.

“I want to thank those people that brought light to my days and made me smile. Might catch you at the reunion! Be kind to one another. xx.”

On Monday night’s episode, a fight erupted between the couple when Chris alleged that Jaimie had suggested they put on a facade for the week.

What’s more the 32-year-old FIFO worker claimed that Jaimie had told him to stop being so nice to her because it was making her look bad, which Jaimie denied.

“I’m being used, I can’t just play this game that we’re all good, it’s just not right. The simple fact of the matter is I’m not here to pretend I was actually here to find someone and it’s just horrible what’s going on,” Chris said.

Jaimie weighed in on Chris’ statements in the episode, remarking: “I’ve tried to be composed and rational in how I’m approaching things but I’m 100 per cent me, I’m not manufactured at all. I’m a pretty bad liar.”

Things went from bad to worse on Jaimie and Chris’ wedding day when the bride said Chris was lying about washing his hands and later called him a “dirty grot”.

Fans praised Chris for leaving the show on social media.

“So glad Chris from #MAFS #MAFSAUS left Jaime. She didn’t deserve such a beautiful soul like Chris,” one Twitter user remarked.

Season seven contestant KC Osborne was in the mix and took to her Instagram Stories to share a screengrab from the official MAFS account that featured Chris.

“Integrity! Good for you!” KC captioned the snap, along with three applause emojis.

Some are even calling for Chris to be the next Bachelor with last year’s leading man Locky Gilbert writing on Instagram: “I am all for this.”

Early on, it was clear that Jaimie and Chris weren’t destined for a great love story. Back in December, Jaimie was snapped in Byron Bay with 2020 Bachelorette star Aggi.

Whilst we don’t know about Jaimie’s current relationship status, it seems fans’ prayers for Chris to be the Bachelor have not been answered.

Chris was spotted picking up a mystery blonde woman from the Gold Coast airport and holding her hand.

An onlooker told the So Dramatic! podcast, “She got off my flight from Melbourne and he greeted her at the airport and when they were walking in front of me he asked her if she loved him and she said yes and nodded.”
