MasterChef Australia: Jess, Ben and Sashi battle it out in Sunday night’s elimination

Sashi, Jess and Ben must survive Sunday night’s elimination challenge to make it one step closer to the MasterChef Australia 2018 grand finale.

The two who make it through the cook will join Khanh in moving closer to the finale and winning the title of Australia’s MasterChef champion for 2018.

In Sunday night’s elimination challenge, Ben, Sashi and Jess can cook anything they want (sweet or savoury) and will have 90 minutes to bring the judging panel one dish each, a total of seven dishes.

The contestants will be cooking for judges Gary, Matt and George as usual, plus some of Australia’s best chefs – Ross Lusted from the Bridge Room in Sydney; Jock Zonfrilo form Orana in Adelaide; Danielle Alvarez from Fred’s in Sydney; and Lennox Hastie from Firedoor.

The two cooks who serve up the most impressive dishes will make it into Monday’s semi-final, with the losing contestant going home.

On Monday night’s semi-final, the top three contestants will be cooking for 60 past contestants from MasterChef Australia. They will have four hours to make a main and dessert for 20 people each.

MasterChef Australia Grand Finale airs on Tuesday 31 July, 7.30pm on TEN.
