Just look at this grab from The Handmaid’s Tale.
“The red dresses have a handmaids tale vibe to them,” one user pointed out on Facebook. “How interesting.”
“Ok it can’t be just me feeling a few blessed be the fruit vibes with the en masse red dresses,” another commented.
“First thing I thought too,” another user wrote. “Blessed be the fruit.”
“Thankyou!! Agreed,” wrote another.
It’s not the greatest comparison.
The HBO series depicts a dystopian future where women in society are used for their fertility. They’re called ‘handmaids’, and are basically enslaved to make babies.
They’re also forced to wear red.
