After claiming he’s only slept with a total of seven women, fans of The Bachelor Australia were left scratching their head when a promo trailer dropped showing Matt Agnew kissing a record number of women while appearing on this season of the popular dating franchise.
Now a source close to the devilishly handsome astrophysicist, 31, has revealed to New Idea that he ends up having sex with one of the many women vying for his heart. But in a shocking turn of events, it’s not the contestant he gives his final rose to!

“Matt hits it off with quite a few of the girls, kissing the greatest number of contestants the show has ever seen,” the insider spilled. “We’re also told that the handsome astrophysicist even beds one of them and it’s not the woman he ends up picking at the final rose ceremony!”
The surprising allegations come less than a week after Dr Agnew appeared on Kyle & Jackie O’s radio program where he was grilled about all things pertaining to his sex life.
“How many women do you think you’ve slept with?” radio shock-jock Kyle Sandilands asked the sexy scientist.
Stunned by the question Matt awkwardly replied, “Funnily enough this is a question on the application form, I’m not sure what the desired answer is either… Rough number… 7. I’m going to stick with that.”
“That’s a very little number,” Kyle teased.
“It’s large enough for me, Kyle,” he hit back.
While on air, Matt also chatted about the intense amount of tension we’ll see in the coming weeks, with New Idea’s source claiming there’ll be no shortage of drama on this season.
“The girls are forced to go to extreme lengths to secure time with Matt and there are more shock twists and tantrums than ever before,” the insider said. “With so many girls, Matt’s time is so thinly spread with each of them. So the girls begin to get desperate and start to do outrageous things to get his attention – it’s like The Hunger Games!”
In an explosive trailer for an upcoming episode, we’re given a glimpse of a heated exchange between Matt and an unnamed blonde woman who calls him a “dog f***er” and a “disrespectful pig”. Visibly offended by her foul accusations, based on the sound bites we’re given, a number of the contestants bit back saying, “Bye, bitch! That bitch is gone”.
“It’s all starting to sound like bulls**t to me,” a cranky Matt says before we see him tell the woman, “I think it’s for the best that you leave the mansion.”
“For me, tonight’s been a tremendous waste of time and I’m pissed off.”

Although we’re yet to discover which woman was behind those rogue insults, our bets are on this season’s villain, Nichole Wood— who’s not only blonde but is also seen having a huge fight with fellow co-star Monique Morley in a new promo.
“Way to p**s Nichole off,” she’s seen saying in the snippet, obviously speaking about herself in the third person. “She [Monique] thinks she’s better than us.”
As the rivalry between the pair reaches boiling point, we see Nichole lose her cool as she screams, “I’m f***ing over it. I’m f***ing done with it!” before walking out.
