“We like eating out and we like trying everyone else’s food but when it comes to cooking we didn’t know whole lot,” the lovebirds confessed.
“I know lots of people go on it because they are good cooks but I thought we could go on it to learn to cook,” Ash added.
“I just thought it could be something fun and a challenge,” Ash revealed on why they entered the competition.
That said, with their seafood dishes, judges Pete Evans and Manu Feidel are suitably impressed, with Pete saying their first effort was impressive.
“I was worried because as much as Ash and I love food, we weren’t the best cooks,” Stacey added.
The couple who recently got engaged this year, support each other immensely throughout the challenge.
At one point Ash loses his cool when plating up 16 serves of salmon, but Stacey keeps him calm with her abundance of moral backing.
“You got this bubs,” she says several times throughout the episode.
“Aww thanks babes,” he says lovingly.
They may not be the best cooks, but they certainly are a cute couple!
