Drake has cancelled the remainder of his Australian tour: What fans need to know

Despite being halfway through his tour Down Under, Drake has announced that he has cancelled the remainder of his Australian tour.

The Canadian rapper, who was set to continue his tour in Brisbane on March 3, unexpectedly announced the news 12 shows into his 16-show run – citing a “scheduling conflict.”

According to Courier Mail, it has been reported that the staging and equipment for Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour were scheduled to be shipped to Europe ahead of his Brisbane performance, despite his upcoming scheduled shows in Sydney and New Zealand

“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” a representative for Drake said in a statement, adding, “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.”

Has Drake postponed his Australian tour?

In a silver lining for fans, Drake has announced that while all remaining shows have been cancelled, the dates will be rescheduled for a future tour.

“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows… We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible.”

Drake Australian tour ticket refund

If you purchased a ticket to Drake’s upcoming Australia/New Zealand tour dates and wish to attend future shows, Ticketek has since advised that “customers will be notified of rescheduled dates and need not take action” to maintain their seats.

All affected tickets will remain valid for new tour dates, however, if you wish to receive a refund, you will need to lodge a request through Ticketek’s refund portal. Refunds can take up to 30 days to process from the time of application, so be sure to keep an eye on your account statement.
