It looks like we have something to look forward to this year!
Netflix has finally announced that season three of the critically acclaimed horror series ‘Stranger Things’ will drop on July 4!
The streaming giant took to Twitter to share a video in the form of a news broadcast from the fictional town of Hawkins where the series is set.
Netflix Japan got a different and shorter version of the video. The clip, which is set in 1985, shows Mount Fuji being flipped upside down. Of course, in typical ‘Stranger Things’ style, the music behind the 30-second video is sinister.
Netflix also took the time to share the season three poster which shows Eleven and Will holding hands and staring off into the distance, as if they are looking at something evil or scary outside of the frame.
Star of the show, Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to share the picture, writing: “Hope you are excited as I am!”
Late last year, Netflix dropped the first teaser for the upcoming series, sharing the episode titles. Here’s what season three will look like:
- Suzie, Do You Copy?
- The Mall Rats
- The Case of the Missing Lifeguard
- The Sauna Test
- The Source
- The Birthday
- The Bite
- The Battle of Starcourt
The clip ends with “the adventure continues… coming 2019” which really doesn’t give us much closure, but we’ll take what we can get!
