While the 2026 Oscars may have left some fans longing for more excitement and drama, what happened after the awards show certainly did not disappoint. From stars calling out the security, questioning who got to speak during the ‘In Memoriam’ segment of the show and enjoying wholesome photobooth moments, the Oscars After Party let the celebs finally let loose.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the stand-out moments that took place after the stars took their prizes and walked off the stage.
Teyana Taylor confronted an Oscars security guard
In a video that made headlines this morning, Best Supporting Actress nominee Teyana Taylor was shown confronting a security guard for the “disrespect” she received after being shoved.
However, the star quickly responded to rumours of the incident, telling TMZ that “it’s all good” and she didn’t “think anyone was trying to stop [her] shine.”
“Everybody’s having a good time and security was just doing a lot,” she continued. “There’s always that one, but I’m fine. I’m happy.”
Nevertheless, Security Industry Specialist Inc. did release a formal apology in a statement to Variety, claiming that “this is not the standard of professionalism [they] expect from [their] team.”
“We have addressed the matter internally to help ensure situations like this do not happen again.”
Jane Fonda slams Barbara Streisand for Robert Redford tribute
In a Vanity Fair carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jane Fonda joked about being better suited for Robert Redford’s tribute, claiming that Barbara Streisand “only made one movie with him” and she “made four.”
“I wanna know how come Streisand was up there doing that for Redford?” she said to the camera. “I have more to say.”
Fans are divided online about Jane’s comments, with some arguing that Barbara’s “singing memories made it more meaningful” while others agreed that “Jane should have been part of the tribute.”
Either way, many fans agreed that the ‘In Memoriam‘ moment of the 2026 Oscars was a stand-out.
Michael B. Jordan continued the iconic In-N-Out tradition
After accepting his flowers, the Best Lead Male Actor Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan headed to In-N-Out in true LA style for a burger, like many of his Oscar winning predecessors before him.
From Paul Giamatti at In-N-Out to Hilary Swank at Astro Burger, this fast food tradition is certainly one of the realest (and favourite) moments to come from the awards show season.
Leonardo DiCaprio brought a date… that wasn’t his mum
While Frankenstein star Jacob Elordi and Sinners’ Michael B. Jordan brought their mothers along as their dates to the 2026 Oscars, Leonardo DiCaprio opted against his usual pattern and brought his girlfriend.

This sparked rumours and jokes among fans with speculation spreading around whether the serial 25-year-old dater is finally ready to settle down (although we’re not holding our breath).
The One Battle After Another star, 51, sat beside his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, 27, and his co-star Teyana Taylor at the front of the audience, participating in a meme joke that didn’t quite land and joining his castmates on stage as One Battle After Another took home the Oscar for Best Picture.
