Dion Giannarelli won our hearts on Married At First Sight with his authentic personality and dedication to making his marriage work.
He had a much harder time winning the heart of his bride, Carolina Santos, however, who kicked off their relationship by turning up to the wedding three hours late.
Things continued to go from bad to worse from there. While Dion was taken with Carolina, she just wasn’t that into him, and the pair really struggled to make the relationship work.
“To be quite honest with you, I would have loved nothing more than walking down that aisle and meeting the man of my dreams. And that didn’t happen. And I’m like okay I’ll be positive, and I’ll give this a chance,” she said to him on the show.
“I honestly feel like we are mismatched,” she revealed, giving a few bizarre reasons, like the fact that her favourite meal is breakfast (his isn’t), that she liked the gym while his Fitness First membership had long lapsed – and of course the age old ‘she likes rap and he prefers 80s’ dilemma. The important things, you know.
And then there was the fact that Carolina was secretly falling for another groom, Daniel Holmes. Yeah, that didn’t help.
But then came Nikki Walton.
We first got word that Dion had moved on when he confirmed his new romance to the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“I can confirm I’ve found love right here on the Gold Coast and I’m very happy,” he said in May of 2022.
It wasn’t until the TV WEEK Logie Awards that the pair made it official, with Dion posting a photo of himself and Nikki at the afterparty.
“Logies after party was a very special event, it was even more special to share it with my number 1,” he penned.
Nikki posted a cute video of the pair dancing together at the after party.
“When he swoops in on my salsa like that 🔥💃🕺 What a fun night!”
The two not only make a cute couple, they’re great dancers!

We don’t know too much else about Nikki, other than that she’s a yacht broker from Queensland.
There’s some speculation that she might have known – and possibly even dated – Dion before he went on MAFS.
Nikki was spotted on Dion’s Instagram in a post from September 2021, which has since been removed. He’s also denied any claims he was dating someone while doing the show.
“No, that’s definitely not the case at all,” Dion has said of the rumours.
“I was single when I entered the show and I was single when I signed up,” he confirmed.
