The dinner table drama has reached new heights on My Kitchen Rules this year, as feuds have made their way into the kitchen.

During Simon and Angus’ Instant Restaurant, their big talk in Round Two came back to bite them when they ran into multiple disasters throughout each of their courses.

In the end, the boys received a score of 55, which was significantly lower than their first round. However, instead of giving the boys some slack, one of the contestants, Alisha, chose this score reveal moment to bring up the ongoing drama between the Adelaide best mates and pescatarian Zoe.

“Zoe said she was owed an apology,” Alisha said to Angus and Simon, referring to Zoe’s walk-in kitchen moment earlier in the episode, when she demanded an apology for being called the “weakest link”.

“Are we really doing that right now?” Simon replied, visibly annoyed.

“Maybe tomorrow,” Manu chimed in, giving the boys a wink.

After witnessing this move, fans were not impressed, and weren’t alone.

Speaking to WHO, Angus and Simon confessed that this comment completely changed their opinion of the ‘Classy Bogans’.

‘She definitely didn’t read the room’

Alisha and Deanne were upset with Angus and Simon after they learned the boys boasted about being able to beat them in Kitchen HQ.

Despite this stab in the back, fans still didn’t think Alisha’s comment was called for.

“I was hoping for Alisha and Deanne to win until that last comment from Alisha about the apology,” one fan wrote on social media. “Now I am glad the boys are above them. She is doing their name justice!!!”

“They aren’t very gracious, and to say that after the boys had a difficult cook is not very kind,” another agreed. “I didn’t mind the girls at first, but their scoring has been unfair and strategic [in my opinion].”

“Totally agree, there’s a time and place and she definitely didn’t read the room!” a third chimed in.

However, not everyone believed Angus and Simon deserved kindness after the way they had been acting towards Zoe in Round Two.

“Alisha was digging the knife in last night, and I’m here for it,” one viewer commented. “Those boys need to go. They talked a HUGE game & failed to deliver BOTH times. How embarrassing for them. Angus looked thoroughly demeaned last night after judging — as he should. They acted like a–holes & karma caught up with them.”

Angus and Simon admitted their comments about Alisha and Deanne were ‘foolish’

Angus and Simon had a similar reaction to fans after Alisha made that poorly timed comment.

“I was not impressed with Alisha at that point in time, I’ll be perfectly frank,” Angus told WHO. “And I really liked Alisha.

“And I remember thinking, ‘Oh, just shut your big gob!'”

However, the Adelaide best mates also admitted to being “foolish” with their comment about believing they could beat Alisha and Deanne the night before.

“I only said that because I felt like I needed to come up with a reason to give them an inflated score to get rid of Zac and Zoe,” Angus said. “Because I just couldn’t stand having Zac and Zoe at the table anymore.

“And perhaps I didn’t really think about the ramifications of Alisha finding that out, which was a bit foolish for me.”

Simon added that “it’s hard to explain yourself to Alisha”.

“She really does put her foot on your throat straight away,” he said. “And it’s sort of hard to get through to her.

“But really and truly, I wanted Alisha and Deanne to stay… it was true. I mean, I did think we could beat them in HQ. But yeah, it didn’t go particularly well.”
