The Block has certainly kept audiences on their toes this season. From sharehouse drama to the show’s first-ever female forewoman (who stepped in when Dan Reilly had to rush off as his wife went into labour), Channel Nine’s hit renovation show has delivered surprises week after week.
The latest surprise? A visit from last year’s All-Stars!
The show is no stranger to bringing back past contestants, with this season already featuring contestants Emma and Ben from last year.
However, while Emma got to bond with Lisa about what it was like being pregnant while filming The Block, this week’s All-Star reunion brought some less wholesome energy as a clash occurred between Wyatt and Mat.
Which 2025 All-Star contestants returned to The Block 2026?
The 2025 All-Stars surprised this season’s contestants during a BBQ dinner held at the sharehouse.
The past contestants were Robby and Mat — who came third last year — and Sonny and Alicia — who came second.
When they arrived, Robby and Mat announced that the challenge for the next day would be a sport that the best friends used to do, teasing them by providing limited details.
The next day, the sport was revealed to be ice soccer in inflatable Zorbs — and you thought The Block had run out of crazy ideas!
In the end, House 1’s Adam and Jolene took the win after Adam won the penalty shootout against Wyatt. The pair took home $10,000 from Chemist Warehouse.
Who are Robby and Mat?
Robby and Mat — otherwise known as Robby Lippett and Mat Johnson — are best mates from Adelaide. Out of the five teams that competed in 2025, they had the least experience when it came to renovating (not that this stopped them from getting an incredible result!).
Robby is a 37-year-old barber and business owner, while Mat is a 41-year-old hairdresser, stylist and business owner.
Alongside a Blades of Glory re-enactment from Mat on the ice, the All-Star also received some harsh criticism from Wyatt who called him “pushy, rude, disrespectful”. Ouch!
However, to cancel out this clash, Robby announced some wholesome news: that he’s expecting his second baby!
We’re loving all the baby news on The Block this year!
Who are Sonny and Alicia?
Sonny and Alicia Aplin are a married couple with three kids and joined The Block in 2025 after being shortlisted for the Phillip Island season the year before.
Before their time on the hit renovation show, the pair had already built their family home and renovated a granny flat.
Sonny has also worked as a plumber for the last 25 years, and continues to do so between renovation projects and sharing parts of their family life on the internet.
After placing second in 2025, the couple used their $120,000 prize money to renovate their own Gold Coast family home in Bonogin before listing it for sale to tackle a new property renovation project.
