Many of the tracks from Phoenix have already gone on to become major hits like Fifty Shades Freed anthem with Liam Payne on “For You”, the catchy “Anywhere” and latest single “Let You Love Me”.
There is although still plenty of new material to be heard here. Among the highlights include the rebellious “Hell of a Life” and euphoric trumpet-infused track “Falling to Pieces”. It also even contains a stunning collab with singer-songwriter Julia Michaels on breakup anthem “Keep Talking”.

While most of the project is pulsating with beats and robust productions, Rita does also take some time out for a stripped back jazzy tune with “Velvet Rope”.

On closing track, “Soul Survivor” fans get to see Rita like never before. It is one of her most personal tracks to date as she reflects on the rocky road to stardom and defiantly claps back at those who tried to tear her down.
It may have been a tough road to success for Rita but like a phoenix, she has risen from it all and is better than ever.

Best Tracks: Falling to Pieces, Anywhere, For You, Only Want You, Summer Love, Keep Talking, Hell of a Life.
Verdict: Rita Ora is pop perfection on the cleverly titled ‘Phoenix’. If you are a lover of bubblegum bops this album is right up your alley as it is one the singer’s best works to dates. 4/5
