Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may no longer be working royals, but that hasn’t stopped them from planning their own private trips — and their next destination is Australia.
Speculation about a return Down Under first surfaced late last year when Meghan sent a handwritten note to psychic Angelea Pearl.
The letter, shared on Instagram in October 2025, included one telling line: “We look forward to staying in touch, especially as we look to visit Australia again.”
Now, new details suggest that visit is just weeks away.
Are Harry and Meghan visiting Australia in 2026?
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed they are travelling to Australia April.
The trip would follow closely behind the State Visit of King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark, who are due to arrive in March.
In a big coup for her Besties venture, Gemma O’Neill announced on March 11 that she is holding a Her Best Life Retreat which will be attended by Meghan.

The event will take place in Sydney from April 17 to 19.
Over the weekend “Gemma and Meghan will talk about life, parenting, relationships, building a global business and navigating a public persona” on stage in front of up to 300 women.
It promises to be a “raw and honest discussion” a press release says.
Meghan will also be the guest of honour at a gala dinner in Coogee.
Early bird ticket prices start from $2699. A VIP package costs $3199 and includes a group table photo with Meghan.
Harry also has a big event planned and will take part in the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit, which will focus on mental health in the workplace, taking place on April 15 to 16.
As Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, their visit will not be carried out on behalf of the Crown.

Instead, the couple are expected to carry out engagements tied to their personal business ventures and charitable interests in addition to the Besties event.
It’s not yet known whether Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join their parents or remain at home in the US.
Where will Harry and Meghan visit in Australia?
The couple are believed to be planning stops in Sydney and Melbourne, with a schedule that blends media appearances, philanthropic commitments and private catch‑ups.
Given Harry’s long-standing connection to the Invictus Games — and Australia’s central role in the event’s history — it’s likely the pair will meet with representatives from the Invictus Games Association during their stay.

The Sussexes have also recently praised the Australian government for introducing a social media ban for children under 16.
“We celebrate Australia’s leadership for seeing and acting on how these technology companies are negatively impacting young people with little to no recourse or accountability,” they said in a statement.
With the issue close to their hearts, a meeting with officials to discuss online safety would not be surprising.
Another possible addition to Meghan’s schedule is the Women Deliver conference, taking place in Melbourne in April.
The global gender‑equality summit has previously attracted royal patrons, including Queen Mary of Denmark, making it a natural fit for Meghan.
When were Harry and meghan last in Australia?
The couple’s last visit came in 2018 as part of a broader Pacific tour and Sydney’s Invictus Games.
The trip was widely considered a success and generated significant international attention, particularly as it coincided with the announcement of Meghan’s pregnancy with Archie.
However, Courtiers author Valentine Low claimed Meghan wasn’t a fan of royal tours and was overheard saying, “I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this.”
During her visit, Meghan championed local fashion brands such as Karen Gee and Outland Denim, giving them international exposure and a boost in sales.

If she chooses to wear Australian brands again, it would be a big boost for local businesses with what she she wore on her With Love, Meghan Netflix show instantly selling out.
However, their life has changed a lot since their last visit.
Less than 18 months after their Pacific tour, the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties and relocated to the United States.
Their return in April marks their first visit to Australia in seven years — and their first as private citizens charting their own path.
