Nancy Guthrie‘s alleged abduction on February 1, 2026 sent chills down spines across the world and devastated her adult children- Savannah, Annie, and Cameron.
The 84-year-old mother of US TV host Savannah Guthrie is believed by authorities to have been taken against her will from her home just outside Tucson, Arizona and there have been reports of ransom notes.
On Tuesday in the US, the FBI released the terrifying images of a man who appears to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s home on the morning of her disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie’s last appearance
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Catalina Foothills on Saturday January 31 2026 when family members dropped her off at around 9pm local time.
At 01:47 the next day, a doorbell camera to her home was disconnected and removed, and the app on her pacemaker was disconnected from her phone at 02:28. Nancy needs this and daily medication for her high blood pressure and heart issues.
In the morning the following day, Nancy unusually didn’t attend church and members of the congregation notified her family.
Volunteers and federal officers from Border Patrol began their search after the family called 911, which stretched into the next morning. Blood was also found on Nancy’s porch and DNA tests confirmed it was hers.
Savannah Guthrie’s career
Savannah is Guthrie is a broadcast journalist and television host best known for being one of the main co-anchors of NBC’s Today Show.
She also conducted exclusive NBC News Dateline interviews with Virginia Giuffre and other victims of Jeffrey Epstein, giving them a platform to share the abuse they suffered- a fact that many social media users consider to be important.

Why was Nancy Guthrie targeted?
In the days since Nancy’s disappearance, social media users have dredged up archival footage of Savannah’s 2019 interviews with survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. One user shared the video on X saying: “I hadn’t realized that the journalist whose mother disappeared, Savannah Guthrie, interviewed all those Epstein victims.”
A second X user speculated: “I’m convinced Savannah knows way too much, and her mother’s kidnapping is a warning to keep quiet.”
Is Savannah Guthrie in the Epstein files?
In the latest release of Epstein Files, the Department of Justice revealed that Savannah’s interviews with the Epstein victims had been mentioned multiple times.
An email document, which had redacted both the sender and recipient’s names and email addresses, contained a discussion regarding the NBC Dateline interviews with survivors. The email stated: “Below is the list of those we know of who were interviewed for Dateline, just wanted to give you a heads-up, she’s done another interview with Savannah Guthrie, and in it, she said the following.”
The email mentioned “They plan to air it on “Today” and “Dateline”. “Hope that’s helpful.”
Who is Michael Feldman?
Michael Feldman has been married to Savannah Guthrie since 2015, and the couple share two children together- Vale and Charley.
Feldman is a PR consultant who previously worked in President Bill Clinton’s administration- his role consisted of keeping “harmful” information about the family out of the press and off the internet.
He went on to start a PR consulting firm, The Glover Group, with Joe Lockhart who was Bill Clinton’s White House Press Secretary.
Conspiracy theorists online are insisting that Nancy’s abduction is a “warning to anyone, including the husband, to be silent for the Clintons upcoming hearing,” as per one X user.
