It’s the biggest news this side of the Dagobah system – Yoda is set to land in Australia.
The classic character from the Star Wars movies is loved throughout the galaxy. Created by George Lucas, the diminutive, but powerful, Jedi Master first appeared in 1980’s Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.
Fans will recall Yoda (voiced by Frank Oz) trained a young Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in the ways of the Force.
Now, fan favourite Yoda is being unpacked from his travel crate on November 12 ahead of the opening of Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum. Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back will be a key part of the exhibition.
Also on display will be droids BB-8 and R2-D2, the Millennium Falcon, Darth Vader’s suit from Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, plus props, models and artworks from hit movies.
Think you might try to the exhibition? As Yoda himself says, “Do. Or do not. There is no try.”
The exhibition opens on November 16 and runs until June 10, 2019.
