Will there be a Knives Out 3?
It appears that Benoit Blanc’s detective work is far from over because the Knives Out franchise is confirmed to be returning for a third film.
Titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the murder mystery is slated to welcome some of Hollywood’s new favourite actors to the cast, with director Rian Johnson revealing on social media that the production of the film is set to commence soon after the announcement.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies,” Rian wrote to X.
Who is the cast of Knives Out 3?
The Knives Out franchise is known for its iconic cast lists and Wake Up Dead Man is set to be no exception.
Returning to tackle his third mystery is Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc. While it is still unknown whether the film will see the return of Glass Onion stars Jennifer Coolidge and Kate Hudson, Wake Up Dead Man is slated to welcome an ensemble of some of Hollywood’s favourite new stars.
Confirming the news to social media, director Rian Johnson has shared that Fleabag’s Andrew Scott, Challengers star Josh O’Connor, and Priscilla’s Cailee Spaeny will be joining the cast of the newest Knives Out film.
When is Knives Out 3 coming out?
While the official release date has yet to be confirmed, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is reported to be released in late 2025.
