While the setting is incredibly specific, novels such as Ali Hazelwood’s Icebreaker have quickly made the genre a viral sensation, and in good news for fans, another tension-filled drama will soon be hitting our screens.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s best-selling book series Off Campus, Prime Video have confirmed that the first romantic read in the collection, titled The Deal, will soon be making its way to our screens, and in exciting news, we already know who will be portraying the novel’s lead couple.
What is the Off Campus series about?
In case you haven’t already ticked the entire saga off your to-read list, the Off Campus book series follows a variety of different college hockey team-based romances, but for viewers wondering which storyline the TV adaptation will follow, Prime Video has confirmed the first series will be based on Elle’s debut novel, The Deal.
According to the official synopsis, the book-to-TV adaptation “follows the unlikely romance between a wry, hockey-hating music major and Briar University’s playboy star centre.”
“The series depicts the elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery — forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.”
Who is the cast of the Off Campus series?
In *major* news for fans of the book series, we finally know who will be portraying Hannah and Garrett in The Deal’s on-screen adaptation.
As per Variety, Amazon confirmed in May 2025 that The Crown star Ella Bright and Until Dawn’s Belmont Camelli will star as the book’s leading couple.
Heartbreak High’s Josh Heuston also joins the cast as Garrett’s teammate Justin, with Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Stephen Kalyn singing on to complete the ensemble cast.
