Bride and Prejudice star Jess has hit back at her prospective mother-in-law Fatima in an emotional new TV interview.
Following on from last night’s debut episode of the reality show – which featured Fatima cruelly disparaging mild-mannered Jess as a ‘whore’ who was ‘dirty’ and ‘smelled like cats’ – Jess has told The Morning Show that she’s outraged and offended by Fatima’s antics.
‘I was pretty shocked with some of the comments about the way I dress and that I smell like cats. It was pretty emotional to watch her say those things about me,’ she confessed.
Among the hail of abuse directed at Jess was the appalling claim that she is a ‘slutty party girl’ who ‘dresses like a prostitute’.
‘Who is 20 and doesn’t enjoy partying?’ Jess told the Seven show. ‘I mean it’s not uncommon for people my age to like to party – there are people much older than me that like to party, but that shouldn’t define me as a person.’
Not surprisingly Jess’ own mother was outraged by Fatima’s televised tirade, which has in turn seen intended groom Seyat’s mum labelled ‘the mother-in-law from hell’.
‘For any mother it would be hard watching that especially for her own daughter to see how she’s been treated and upset,’ Jess says of her mum’s reaction. ‘Because just as a mother herself, she would never speak about another person’s child that way.’
But it seems unlikely that Fatima will have a change of heart when it comes to her fiery loathing for Jess – with the mum last night sensationally vowing to ruin the young couple’s big day.
‘I’m gonna come and cancel your wedding,’ she ranted. ‘I’ll do something to destroy it.’
