Just one week after his shock elimination had MasterChef Australia fans up in arms and Tim Bone in tears, the much-loved contestant has won back a place in the competition.

Tim, 33, was ousted from the competition after failing to replicate Shannon Kellam’s Chocolate de Passion dessert.
However he was given another shot in Monday night’s second chance cook where he faced off with his fellow former contestants for another bite of the MasterChef cherry.
Tim played to his strengths, choosing to cook a dish of beef fillet steak, with mushrooms, parsnip puree and miso butter, much to the delight of the judges.
“That looks like the best steak and mushroom I’ve seen in a while,” said Matt Preston.
“You’ve outdone yourself, that is smashing,” said Gary Mehigan, praising the perfectly cooked steak, creamy purée and jammy, caramelised shallot.
After being announced as the winner, Tim had to call his wife to let her know he’d be staying in the MasterChef house a little longer!
