Kylie Jenner has just replaced Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest self-made billionaire at the age of 21.
Kylie posted the below photo from her shoot with Forbes magazine, simply captioned “thank you @forbes 💜”
“She’s the youngest-ever self-made billionaire, reaching a ten-figure fortune at a younger age than even Mark Zuckerberg [who was 23 when he hit that mark],” says Forbes.

Surpassing the creator of Facebook is no easy feat, however, thanks to Kylie Cosmetics, the beauty empire she has created (no doubt with the help of mum-ager Kris Jenner’s astute business acumen), she has cemented her position on top.
The youngest (and now wealthiest) of the KarJenner family, turned the controversy surrounding her lips into a lucrative business in three years.
According to Forbes, “Kylie Cosmetics did an estimated $508 million in sales. Ms Jenner owns 100 per cent of the company.”
Jenner can thank her famous Lip Kits which are the hero products of her Kylie Cosmetics line for the bulk of the sales, as they are often sold out.
Kylie was quick to reshare the acknowledgements and praise she received from fellow celebrity friends such as Hailey Bieber on her Instagram stories.

Jenner tells Forbes, “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future,” going further to say, “But (the recognition) feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back.”
It is said that her beauty company is worth $US900 million and Kylie doesn’t dismiss the substantial role social media has played in the success of her business, saying, “It’s the power of social media,” and “I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.”
Supermodel sister Kendall Jenner also took to Twitter this morning to show her support with the below…
However, the term ‘self-made’ was also met with a lot of scepticism with people questioning whether she was given a head start as a result of being born into an affluent family.

There’s no doubt that coming from wealth and having a famous last name can accelerate your success, but it takes a lot more than that to sustain a thriving business.
She tells Forbes, “I work really hard.”
