Faux tan products that do much, much more

Tone, tighten and even remove blackheads - this stuff does it all!

When I was a teen in the late 80s faux tan products barely existed.

And the ones that did were less than stellar. They smelled terrible. They rubbed off all over everything. Your sheets, your clothes, anyone who had the misfortune to brush up against you. On top of that they provided a tan that was less bronze beach babe and more freshly-picked carrot. All in all – not much chop.

Today though fake tan products have come a very long way. They are not only well-priced and beautifully scented, they provide a gorgeous golden sheen to the skin that lasts. Indeed, some of these products provide extra benefits such as hydration, exfoliation and even sun protection.

Like to learn more? Of course you do. Here, a quick look at the cream of the crop of the newest, most exciting faux glow buys.

Alpha Beta Glow Pad for Body, $66.

An anti-aging self tanner in the form of a single step pre-soaked towelette containing active vitamin D, micro-encapsulated DHA and soy proteins that delivers the colour deep into skin to prevent fading through surface exfoliation. Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids exfoliate, tighten pores, eliminate blackheads and help fade existing sunspots for an even, streak-free glow.

Yes – it does ALL of that and more. We’re talking a beautiful, natural-looking tan while also transforming dull texture and tone into radiant, glowing skin.
