The 2016 Emmy Awards are finally here, and the biggest celebrities of television are getting ready to walk the red carpet in true A-list style (read: face-perfecting mask, glam squads and pre-red carpet burgers!).
First up? None other than Amy Schumer, who took to Instagram not only to share her undereye patches, but also to look back at the major moment when she found out she was nominated for six awards. The comedian wrote, “The day I found out I was nominated for 6 Emmys. I was so sick. And now they are tonight!” And she completed the post with a #balmain hashtag, possibly hinting that she’d wearing the Kardashian-favourite label to tonight’s event.
Schumer also shared a shot of her dark circle-combating undereye patches, writing, “Secret of nihm thanks for this pic by secret of @kimcaramele.”
And Kristen Bell had a similar idea, wearing forehead, under-eye and lip-perfecting masks. The star wrote, “Getting ready for the #emmys…Look closely…I have serious doubts this is actually a lip conditioning sticker my makeup artist @simonesiegl applied over my mouth…I’m pretty sure she just wanted me to zip it.”
She also flaunted her hair prep, complete with rollers and clips to keep her style in place. And while she won’t be heading to the red carpet in such an ensemble, she didn’t think it was the worst look. “Caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and said, confidently, ‘This looks GREAT guys! Let’s go!’ Then was informed we’re only half way done. Oh well. #emmys,” she wrote on Instagram.
And Lindsey Vonn had an intricate hairstyle in the works as well. Her hairstylist, Charles Baker Strahan, posted a shot of the back of her updo, a mix between a faux hawk and a french twist, made up entirely of twists and knots.
Heidi Klum, who is nominated for Project Runway, showed us her glam squad hard at work on her look.
The model was also “pampering for the Emmys” prior to the event with a heavy duty face mask.
