2006

Just months after releasing her first single, “Tim McGraw,” an up-and-coming country starlet named Taylor Swift hits the red carpet at the 40th annual CMA Awards in Nashville.

A year later, it’s the same curls, but a bolder dress.

2010

Red, Swift goes sexy with a slit — but doesn’t take home any awardsPerhaps teasing her next album,

The next year, however, she’s back on top with another entertainer of the year trophy.

2012

Now a bona fide superstar, Swift hits the carpet with extra confidence.

2013

At her last CMA Awards before making the transition to pop, Swift takes home four trophies, including the Pinnacle Award. She’s only the second star to receive the honour — which recognises success in ticket and record sales — following Garth Brooks’s win in 2005

2016

After a two-year hiatus — in which she has a string of pop hits — Swift returns to the CMAs stage to present Garth Brooks with the entertainer of the year award.
