Before joining the Tim Robards Method (TRM), 47-year-old Sandy Luppino was overeating, lethargic, unmotivated and her blood pressure had skyrocketed.
“I had been following Tim Robards on Instagram after he appeared on The Bachelor and always found him to be inspiring,” says Luppino.
She started TRM weighing 95.9kg and began by setting a 65kg goal.

“That was within the range I should be for my height. But what helped me was the fact I would set 5kg at a time. I felt a great sense of achievement and then would focus on losing the next 5kg.”
Luppino hit a few plateaus and some old injuries tested her commitment to the program.
“What I found to be really important was not to stop exercising completely. If I had a sore shoulder I’d walk and not do boxing but then when I had a sore hip I did less walking and more boxing.”

As well as trying intermittent fasting, Luppino has found she can still eat the foods she loves – with a few tweaks.
“I have learnt so much about healthy eating through TRM … I love that I can still eat bolognese or marinara by substituting the spaghetti for zucchini noodles.”
Now 65kg, Luppino says she has new healthy habits that she’ll keep for life.
