Simone Harbinson, 33, is a mum to two teenagers.
She works full-time and had followed all the fad diets to no avail.
At 86kg she was fed up. Then, one day she was looking through her Instagram feed and Sophie Guidolin popped up. “I scrolled through her page and was so inspired,” says Harbinson.
“She really resonated with me being an every day, busy working mum.”
Within minutes, Harbinson had signed up to The Bod One 12-week Nutrition and Training program. “I’ve followed many fad diets and meal plans but The Bod is like no other. In fact, I wouldn’t even call it a diet,” says Harbinson.
“It’s not cutting food groups, it’s not starving yourself on meal replacement shakes, it’s not hours and hours sweating it out in the gym. It’s wholesome, family friendly meals packed full of flavour. Think burgers, pastas, curries and even pancakes.”
As well as the food, Harbinson loves the support of The Bod Squad – a community of like-minded people all aiming for the same thing: a healthier life. Having previously being diagnosed with and treated for cancer, Harbinson was aware of a need to be kind to herself.“Being diagnosed with cancer changes you. You aren’t the same person you were before. In the thick of it all it’s a scary and dark road but once the fog lifts and you walk free of cancer you find a new lease on life.”
Last year she celebrated four years cancer- free, which is partly what keeps her going.
“When I first started The Bod I was committed to being kinder to myself and to nourish my body like it deserved, as it had been through a hell of a lot. The Bod not only gave me a healthy body, it gave me a healthy mind. I think that’s really important.”
