If there’s one thing we love about The Block, it’s getting a little glimpse into the contestants’ lives beyond the renovations. And now, House 3’s Lisa and Rosco are giving us another reason to tune in — this time, from the kitchen.
The fan-favourite contestants have taken out a special cooking challenge on the show, and their winning dish is officially making its way onto Australian dinner tables.
Meet Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta with Tomato Capsicum Sauce, a limited-edition Youfoodz meal inspired by Lisa and Rosco’s winning recipe.
The couple went head-to-head with their fellow contestants in a special challenge judged by celebrity chef Shane Delia, swapping their usual hammers and paintbrushes for pots and pans. The brief? Create a dish worthy of the ready-made meal range.
And it was Lisa and Rosco who came out on top, thanks to their hearty combination of tender beef meatballs, smoky chorizo, parmesan and fusilli pasta coated in a rich tomato and capsicum ragù.
Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta
There’s a sweet family story behind the winning dish, too. Named after their son Lando, the recipe was created while Lisa and Rosco were expecting their second child, drawing inspiration from the kind of comforting, hearty meal they love after a big day.
Now, the recipe has had the full Youfoodz treatment, with each serve packing 40g of protein.
Speaking about seeing their creation become a real meal, Lisa and Rosco said it was a special moment for their family.
“Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta is a really special one for us. It was inspired by our family, our son Lando, and the kind of hearty meal we loved enjoying after a real day on the tools,” they said.
“We had so much fun creating it for the Youfoodz challenge, so to now see it brought to life as a real Youfoodz meal is pretty surreal. We’re absolutely stoked that people around Australia can give it a try and get a little taste of our family and our time on The Block.”
What did Shane Delia think of the winning dish?
Celebrity chef Shane Delia was on hand to judge the challenge, putting the contestants through their paces as they raced to get their dishes across the line.
And for him, the pressure of the kitchen wasn’t all that different from the pressure of a Block build.
“Cooking under pressure is a bit like building on The Block — you’ve got a clock ticking, plenty of opinions flying around, and you need to pull everything together when it counts,” he said.
“Lisa and Rosco’s Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta really hit the brief. It’s packed with flavour, feels like the kind of meal you actually want to sit down to after a big day, and most importantly, it delivered when the pressure was on.”
When can you get your hands on it?
Youfoodz has been keeping the contestants fuelled throughout the 2026 season as the show’s official meal partner, supplying 6,000 meals across fridges, microwaves and vans to help keep things moving on site.
Now, the partnership is bringing one of the show’s memorable moments straight to our own kitchens.
