Abbey Rose had an advantage from the get-go entering the MasterChef Australia kitchen.
The 27-year-old from NSW is a kitchen and homewares buyer!
According to her MasterChef bio, the bubbly blonde is confident that her expert knowledge of kitchen appliances will give her an edge against the competition.
And that’s not all – she’s also a jewellery designer!
With her creative background, Abbey says she’s “very visual, capable of measuring half a cup by sight as opposed to using measuring devices.”
Her bio also tells how she “loves to draw and plate intricate dishes, and often has an idea of how a completed dish will look before she begins to cook.”
Once upon a time she also worked at a seafood shop and deli!
She hopes “working with seafood will also be her strength, but says complicated spice recipes may be challenging, along with monitoring her timing.”
Post-MasterChef, Abbey has dreams of opening her own seasonal boutique cafe in the Hunter Valley – after she marries her fiance Josh, of course!
