However, there is one contestant's name that has risen to the top and emerged as a potential winner - at least, according to the bookies that is.
Both TAB and Sportsbet have tipped Pete Campbell, 36, to take the 2021 MasterChef crown with odds at 2.25 and 2.75, respectively.
38-year-old Kishwar Chowdhury, meanwhile, is in second place and has odds at 3.00 on both sites.
Despite only starting to cook six years ago, Pete certainly has come a long way.
The tattoo artist fell in love with food when he and his wife Alana travelled across Europe, Asia and USA in 2013 and taught himself how to prepare all sorts of delicious dishes.
Pete, who is also a dad-of-two, decided to return to Australia from LA where he and his family had been living when COVID struck and he now dreams of opening a wine bar on Sydney’s northern beaches.
"I'm here to win it, there's no reason why I can't," he said.
"They serve up some of the best dishes that we’ve ever seen on any season of MasterChef," he revealed.
"The show’s tagline 'ordinary people, extraordinary food' couldn’t be more true this year. We look at one another sometimes and can’t believe what we’re seeing and getting to eat. It’s a privilege to share this crazy experience with these guys."
