In the same year that the photo was taken, Meghan also wrote about Kate on her blog, The Tig, and spoke about wanting to be a princess:
"Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."
Despite shutting down the blog after marrying Prince Harry, Meghan hasn't abandoned her writing career entirely.
The Duchess of Sussex recently made history as the first person in 103 years to guest edit British Vogue's September issue.
The Vogue spread featured 15 women, including Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
The theme of the issue was "Forces for CHANGE," as part of Meghan's decision to showcase impactful people in the cover.
In a post on the Sussex Royals Instagram, it was revealed that "the Duchess chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open-mindedness."
According to Edward Enninful - the editor-in-chief of Vogue - the Duchess of Sussex did not include herself in the cover, as she thought it would be "a ‘boastful’ thing to do for this particular project.
“She wanted, instead, to focus on the women she admires.”
At the time, Meghan also said "Guest Editing the September issue of British Vogue has been rewarding, educational and inspiring," and thanked her friends for "lending their time and energy to help within these pages and on the cover."
