What has Miranda Kerr said about Katy and Orlando?

Miranda Kerr has never been shy about gushing over Katy Perry, with the model once joking that she loves Katy “more than Flynn’s dad!”

She has described Orlando Bloom as “like an annoying brother,” admitting that Katy helps her deal with him, which makes their blended family dynamic all the more wholesome (and hilarious).

Miranda also shared that their top priority has always been keeping things happy and drama-free for their son Flynn, which is why you’ll often catch them celebrating birthdays and holidays together.

“Katy and I were talking to Orlando, and then they were like, ‘Oh, let’s get a photo.’ And it was kind of funny, Katy sent me the photo of Orlando and then his two exes on the side, but we all had such a big smile on our faces.

“You know, we’re one big, happy family, as always. It’s amazing, I love her. And him, obviously.’

Kyle and Jackie O commented on Orlando’s relationhips ending, to which Miranda commented, “I mean, honestly, when you especially when you have children, it shouldn’t be any other way. Like, the needs of the child always has to come first. And it needs to be harmonious.

“And you know what? They’re going to be in your life for the rest of your life. Because they have a child together, so you just be peaceful, I mean, in my opinion.”

Flynn Bloom

2011

Miranda became a mum for the first time on January 6, 2011, when she welcomed Flynn with then husband Orlando Bloom. When she and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor separated in 2013, she made Flynn the ultimate priority.

“When Orlando and I first separated our priority was always Flynn and making sure that, you know, Flynn was happy and his needs were always at the forefront, and so we were very amicable from the beginning,” Miranda told Nova FM’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny in October 2020.

“I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing,” the model and Kora Organics founder told Drew Barrymore on her chat show in November 2020 about his relationship with Katy.

“When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises [about] what is the best for our whole family. We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that’s the most important thing.”

Hart Spiegel

2018

Miranda rarely shares updates of her children, but we do get treated to the annual cake update!

In May 2017, Kerr married Snapchat co-creator Evan Spiegel and on May 7, 2018 they welcomed their first son, Hart.

“Words cannot explain how happy we are to welcome our beautiful son into our family,” they told People at the time.

“Flynn is excited to be a big brother. Thank you for the kind words and wishes during this very special time.”

“He was doing adult Lego from when he was literally, like, four,” she told Vogue. “He has an engineering mind and he also loves maths. He’s always thinking and asking questions: ‘Why is this happening?’ ‘How do we do that?’ He’s more in his mind, like his dad.”

2019

On October. 5, 2019, Miranda gave birth to her third son Myles.

“We are overjoyed at the arrival of Myles and so appreciate everyone’s kind words and wishes during this special time,” Miranda and Evan said in a statement announcing the birth of their second child.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our beautiful son into our family.”

On Myles’ second birthday, she captioned an Instagram post celebrating his big day, describing him as “our little angel who fills this world and our hearts with so much light and love”.

Pierre Spiegel

2024

Miranda’s fourth child, Pierre was born in February 2024, with the 42-year-old sharing that she felt “blessed” to welcome her fourth son.

“We call him peaceful Pierre,” Kerr told Vogue Australia. ““He’s literally a zen baby. We’re just like, ‘Where did you come from?’ The house is noisy and there’s a lot happening and he just sits there and just looks at everyone and he’ll look directly into your soul.”

Miranda has also admitted she is now content with the size of her family and will not have any more children. “I literally feel done,” she told Vogue Australia.

“I know Evan would have 10 if it was up to him, but I just feel pulled and I’m not really someone who can just let someone else raise my kids.”
