Georgia Love’s mother Belinda Love has sadly lost her 6-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Bachelorette star took to social media on Monday to reveal the devastating news, after Belinda, 60, passed away on Saturday.
Her death comes just a week after Georgia announced that she had chosen Lee Elliott on the latest series of the reality dating show.
Posting a collage of photographs of the pair together to Instagram, Georgia, 28, accompanied the images with a heartfelt message.
“7 weeks ago we were sipping cocktails in Italy,” she posted. “7 months ago you weren’t even sick. How is it possible you’re no longer here?
“Mum, you were my first friend and my best friend, my rock, the one who knew me better than anyone in the world and who supported and backed me through every single thing I did.
“You were the one I went to for advice, the one I shared every story with and the one who was always there to pick me up.
“There is so much more I need and want to share with you. I have no idea how to even begin to say goodbye.”
Tributes to Mrs Love describe her as the “beautiful and beloved best friend of Christopher Love, and the loving devoted mother and best friend of Catherine (Katie) and Georgia”.
“Our hearts are aching and we miss you so much,” a tribute from the family said. “In our memories, with love, forever.”
