M*A*S*H Star David Ogden Stiers dies after cancer battle

Actor David Ogden Stiers has died at age 75 following a battle with bladder cancer.

The actor is best known for his role as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in the iconic television show, M*A*S*H and as the voice of the clock, Cogsworth, in Disney’s animated classic film, Beauty and the Beast.

Stiers also voice starred in other Disney films including Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Lilo & Stitch.

He was nominated for two Emmy awards for his role in M*A*S*H in 1981 and 1982.
