All we want for Christmas is for Carpool Karaoke to never end (ever), so you can imagine our horror when we heard its creator James Corden was leaving the program that makes CK possible!
WATCH: James’ throwdown with Chris Hemsworth is everything!
The Late Late Show‘s executive producer Ben Winston almost shattered all of our TV dreams when he took to Twitter to announce that the loveable (and hilarious) host of the US show would be absent from the program from December 9 for a few weeks.
But the good news is, he’ll be back… and the even BETTER news is that his fill-ins are pretty top-notch.
“We are delighted that @Harry_Styles @melissamccarthy @kenjeong @aliciakeys #jeffgoldblum [and] @chancetherapper will all be hosting the show in his absence,” Ben tweeted, with the first ep sans James to kick off today.
And, just like that, our despair turned to excitement at the prospect of Harry ‘The Most Beautiful Man On Earth’ Styles getting into the Carpool Karaoke driver’s seat.

“I NEED THE HARRY DATES SIR,” one fan tweeted to Ben.
“We’ll miss James but what a present to us Harry Styles for Christmas,” commented another.
The reason the multitalented British larrikin is taking time out so close to Christmas isn’t for a holiday, though, James will be hard at work filming upcoming musical comedy The Prom, alongside Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Awkwafina.
Speaking to fellow TV host Jimmy Kimmel about playing over-the-top Broadway star Barry Glickman in the flick, James admitted he feels “utterly terrified”.
“I’m in lots of scenes with Meryl Streep. And It’s the first time that I’ve ever done an American accent… that’s filling me with some doubt.”

James – who is also set to appear in the upcoming film version of Broadway hit Cats – is known for his rapport with celebs… and by ‘rapport’ we mean he can get them to do pretty much anything for a lol.
Earlier this year, James and Chris Hemsworth surprised guests at posh London restaurant The Northall by taking part in a hilarious waiter challenge. The Australian and British duo were competing to see who was the better restaurant employee as part of a sketch for The Late Late Show.
At one point, Thor star, Chris carried one female guest into the dining area, only for James to give her partner a piggyback.
Later in the video, James escorted another diner to her seat, shouting to the rest of the guests as they walked in: “Ladies and gentlemen, Sarah’s here! A round of applause please!”
Within days, the clip had racked up millions of views on YouTube.
