After a radio career spanning decades, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O are over. Jackie confirmed via a statement by ARN Media Limited that she “cannot continue to work with Mr Sandilands”, with the statement also revealing that Kyle will be taken off the air for 14 days due to a breach of conduct.
While the shock jock deals with the fallout of his behaviour and his co-hosts departure, many are wondering just how much the Sandilands is worth.
What is Kyle Sandilands’ net worth?
Whilst he and Jackie were signed onto a 10-year contract worth a reported $200 million with ARN Media, according to the Daily Mail, Kyle’s business empire is worth a reported $100 million.
As well as his radio show, the media personality is a judge on Australian Idol alongside Marcia Hines and Amy Shark.
He also boasts an impressive property portfolio including the $14 million Vaucluse home he bought with wife Tegan Kynaston in 2023.
In February, the radio DJ listed his property in Sydney’s Hills District and it’s on sale for nearly $6 million.
What sparked the fight between Kyle and Jackie O?
During a segment on their show on February 20, Jackie O analysed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s astrology chart which Kyle criticised.
“You are off with the fairies with this s–t, it’s mental,” he said, going on to compare her to a “drug addict” when it comes to astrology charts.
“You are not doing the rest of the job, and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me,” Kyle added. “Everyone has said, ‘What’s going on with Jackie? She’s off today.’”
“You don’t know what the f–k is going on all the time, because you’re looking at that phone, playing in the stars, and it’s ridiculous,” before concluding with: “You can enjoy that, but you can’t take over your whole life.”
What’s next for Kyle?
In the statement on March 3, ARN announced that Kyle’s behaviour during the show was “an act of serious misconduct” and was in breach of his contract.
“Mr Sandilands has been given 14 days to remedy this breach,” ARN said, adding that Kyle will not be allowed on air during that time.
If the breach is not remedied, they noted, Kyle will be sacked and will “cease to present The Kyle and Jackie O Show.”
ARN said that the KIIS FM breakfast show, which airs in Sydney and Melbourne, will be taken off-air effective immediately and another show put on in the interim.
