As the fashion world mourns the death of iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld, I know I will be re-watching an episode of Netflix documentary 7 Days Out. And fans of Chanel or Karl should do the same.

Watch the trailer below.

As a longtime fan of the German-born fashion icon and lover of the House of Chanel, episode 5 of 7 Days Out was something I knew I had to watch as soon as it dropped last year.

The doco follows Karl and his Chanel team during seven days of Paris Fashion Week, as they hustle to put the finishing touches on the incredible Spring 2018 Haute Couture collection and runway show.

Viewers get to witness the intricate details and rules of creating a spectacular Haute Couture line and just how hard the entire team works to pull of the runway show.

We also see how supportive Karl was of his entire team, the fact that he was still sketching and designing for Chanel, and we get a taste of his sense of humour.

We are also introduced to Virginie Viard, who was then Karl’s trusted sidekick and director of Chanel’s fashion creation studio, and has now been named as his successor.

And it looks like Twitter completely agrees, you need to watch it:
