Kasey Chambers has been announced as this year’s inductee to the Hall of Fame at the 2018 ARIA Awards.
On November 28, the beloved country music star will join the ranks like Kylie Minogue (who will be touring Aus in 2019), Tina Arena, Crowded House, last year’s Daryl Braithwaite… And The Wiggles.
The accolade will make her the youngest star to ever be inducted.
The 42-year-old says it’s “one of the greatest honours I could possibly imagine”.
“I am so humbled to get the chance on the night to share the journey this little country singer from the Nullabor has actually had,” Chambers said in a statement on Tuesday.
A household name for over 25 years, Chambers has a solid 5 number one albums under her belt – along with Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John.
“The longevity of her career is a testament to her enduring talent and artistry, with many timeless songs that have crossed generations of Aussie music fans,” ARIA chief executive Dan Rosen said.
