Kate Langbroek says she is so fed up with being in lockdown in her adopted home of Italy, that she is hoping she and her family will get deported so they can return to Australia.

Kate – who embarked on an extended gap year with her husband and four children last year after moving to the city of Bologna – spoke to Fox FM’s Hughsey and Ed on Wednesday to update fans on life in lockdown in once of the coronavirus epicentres.
The 54-year-old revealed her husband Peter had a nasty run-in with Italian police after supposedly breaking lockdown laws by rising a bicycle.
‘[The police] held him up for 40 minutes,’ Kate said
‘They basically interrogated him and gave him a piece of paper (which he signed) even though it was in Italian, and he couldn’t understand it. It said he’s being sued by the police,’ she continued.
‘I laughed and said: “Good, I hope they deport us. It’s the only way we can get out of here!”’
Kate then went on to reveal she and Peter also had a disagreement with the police on Good Friday.
The couple were walking to the shops to buy Easter eggs when they were stopped by police who said they couldn’t be outside together.
‘I was so annoyed. I hate the one size fits all rule.
‘I said, “I’ve got four children at home, that’s a lot of food, that’s a lot of carrying on my own”. They were a bit surprised by how aggressive I was.’
Earlier this month, Kate detailed what life was like for the Langbroek family during the earlier stages of the lockdown.
