Kate Ritchie is one proud mum!
The 39-year-old radio presenter has penned an emotional Instagram post to her 3-year-old daughter Mae as she posts the first image of her face since her birth.
Alongside a picture of her little girl, the former Home And Away star revealed how she struggles to share posts about her only child as she is certain she wants to protect her.
“I don’t often share this most precious being but sometimes I am tired of protecting her and want to rejoice in her 🌈 .She is full of wonder in so many ways but she also helps me to simply be me, to pat myself on the back, to be patient, to care for other families, to appreciate the value of equality, to make plans | to want to be the best version of me.
She also confirms that she has realised a new confidence in herself. “I can have a go at anything, to accept myself, to count to ten and reassess, to stand up for myself and for girls.”
The star even admits that as a mother, she’s learned “To curb my foul mouth | to appreciate the simple things.”

Ritchie shares her only child with husband Stuart Webb, 37.
The happy couple have been married since 2010.
