Whether it’s a birthday or anniversary, baby shower or Valentine’s Day, the Kardashian family will always go above and beyond. From personalised signs to extravagant food spreads, over-the-top party themes and impeccable outfits, the family know how to celebrate and often share a behind-the-scenes look at their special day on social media.

But fans have had enough, calling the family out for their extravagant gifts – and now Kourtney Kardashian has clapped back.

Kourtney’s latest birthday was just like any other family member’s big day. Her Instagram stories were full of re-shared birthday wishes from friends and family and *lots* of flowers, like really a lot.

It’s nothing new with the family, who often gift each other excessive amounts of freshly cut roses and other flowers no matter the occasion.

But fans were quick to slam the latest over-the-top gift as excessive, commenting on Kourtney’s Instagram post.

And now Kourtney has given insight into what the family actually does with the large quantities of flowers after choosing to respond to one of the more curious fans’ questions.

“What do you think they do with the flowers after they are looked at?” one fan asked, to which Kourtney replied, “We donate them to the children’s hospital.”

But not everyone was impressed with her answer. “Donate the value of those flowers to children’s hospitals so they can put the money where it’s most needed. Just a suggestion. Second-hand flowers is an ego boost not charitable,” wrote one fan as another labelled the post as “such excess.”

It’s not the first time the family have provided answers to how they manage their celebrations.

“Serious question… what do y’all do with all the props, decor, and leftover food after birthday parties!!?” one fan tweeted in 2019. “I just watched Khloe’s from last weekend, North/P’s the week before and Saint’s last night. It’s SO MUCH, I’m so curious! @khloekardashian @KimKardashian @kourtneykardash.”

“The decor is normally rented but anything personal (like the quote signs) I have in storage for another function one day. The food left overs always get donated to a food bank or church. Sometimes the food may go elsewhere Depending on the situation,” Khloe replied.
