Margot Robbie will be taking a break from acting and making a move to the director’s chair.
The I, Tonya star, who has several production projects in the works, has revealed that she plans to start directing movies.
“I still love acting,” the 27-year-old Australian actress told ELLE USA.
“But I’ve spent the last 10 years on a film set, and I realised that if I am pouring my heart and soul into a film, I want to be one of those voices in the conversation making decisions.”

In the February issue of the magazine, the former Neighbours star shared that playing figure skater Tonya Harding was intimidating for her.
“Playing Tonya [Harding], who’s very much alive and is widely documented, can be more intimidating.”
Robbie previously told PEOPLE that it took five months of intense training and a couple of boxes of hair dye to turn into Harding.
“To me, the hair and the aesthetic, the way she put on makeup — it told the story beautifully,” Robbie said. “It was about embodying the life of someone who grew up the way she did.”
I, Tonya will be released in Australian cinemas on February 15 2018.
