Late intruders Tayla and Hugo don’t quite seem like a match made in heaven….the Married At First Sight Australia season 10 couple haven’t had the smoothest ride during the experiment but despite the odds, they’re still trying to make it work!

Although, the term “making it work” infers that both of them are making an effort in the marriage. And whilst Tayla has definitely been present throughout the first weekof the experiment, we can’t say she’s been forthcoming about building a solid relationship.

From refusing to sleep in the same bed to telling her husband Hugo how little she was attracted to him, it’s safe to say Tayla struggled in the first week more than other brides.

And as the couple continues through the experiment, fans have one question. Are they still together?

Wedding Bliss….and a goat

The wedding was okay as far as MAFS wedding goes.

Not too disastrous and only a bit awkward…but there’s nothing like first impressions to kickstart the relationship! And for Tayla, remembering her new husband’s name was easy since she once had a goat named Hugo.

Honeymoon

Tayla and Hugo haven’t had the smoothest of honeymoons, with self-proclaimed “controlling” bride Tayla making Hugo sleep on the couch.

Over dinner, Hugo asked Tayla what she was looking for in a partner, to which she replied, “It was probably someone the opposite of you. When I first saw you I thought… I don’t think he’s very sporty.

“I actually requested someone who didn’t talk much… a man’s man. A Tradie, footballer, a bit rowdy, likes to drink beer. That’s definitely my type of guy. You’re probably not my type. There you go, you happy?”

“The part I have a problem is… I feel like you looked at me and said, ‘He’s not a blokey tradie, he’s not my type’. You’ve been a b—h to me the entire time,” Hugo replied.

“You’ve been frosty as hell, yeah. No part of you wants to work on it.”

“Shut up!” Tayla shot back. “You love the sound of your own voice too much and it actually annoys me.”

Home sweet home

The photo ranking task caused more issues for Tayla and Hugo after Hugo ranked Tayla second last.

“I want to put you first…but I mean do you reckon you deserve to be put at the top with how you have been treating me?” he asked Tayla.

“Maybe you do deserve to be last…but there’s no way I could let you be last, so you can go second last,” he determined.

“That was really uncomfortable, I didn’t like that at all, it was horrible,” determined Tayla.

Tayla and…Cam?

Things have gone from bad to worse for Hugo and Tayla following the accidental butt dial

And whilst they may be in the experiment for another week, rumours have been building about a possible relationship between Tayla and Cam – yep, Lyndall’s Cam.

Tayla recently spoke with Kyle and Jackie O about the rumours, and it was interesting, to say the least.

Following the rumour that Cam had flashed Tayla during a face-time call, the radio hosts rang the bride.

“Yeah, there is a little bit of truth to that,” she laughed before explaining Cam was a “loose cannon,” and that it was “very one-sided.”

Further explaining that she was drinking with girlfriends when an intoxicated Cam video-called her from a nightclub, Tayla told Kyle and Jackie O that she didn’t believe he was serious before daring him to show them.

“So did you ever hook up?” the hosts asked. “No…we’re just really good friends,” she coyly responded.

Tayla flees to Tasmania

Following the disastrous Retreat Week, Tayla leaves the experiment to return to Tasmania, without telling Hugo.

She then returns during the dinner party to give Hugo “a second chance” but Hugo has had enough.

“Do we even need to go to the commitment ceremony?” he asks, “we both know we don’t want this.”

“I think Tayla is a great person in her own way, but Tayla is not someone I want to continue to be in a relationship with.”
