In a reader poll conducted by TV Tonight, the Nine show came out on top in the category of ‘Worst Aussie Show’.

This is despite the fact that the reality show broke its own ratings record during last year’s finale, drawing a national audience of 2.61 million.

Elsewhere in the annual TV Tonight Awards, The Big Bang Theory was voted ‘Worst International Show’.

The ‘Most Overexposed Aussie Performer’ was Grant Denyer, who hosted both Celebrity Name Game and Dancing with the Stars on Channel 10.

The award for ‘Blunder of the Year’ went to former MasterChef judge George Calombaris for his underpayment scandal.

Last November, the first trailer for the 2020 season of Married At First Sight – which is set to air February 3 – was released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come the seventh season of the controversial dating experiment.

Although the teaser trailer fails to give much away, it depicts eight of the unlucky in love contestants slowly strolling through a dark and enchanted forest before they reach and later walk through the “Tunnel of Love”. The clip ends with one loved up couple sharing a kiss while floating into the air and ascending into the night sky.

Of those named, we meet Mishel, Connie, Aleksandra, Mikey, Poppy, David, Tash and Chris.
