The 47-year-old failed to impress MasterChef: Back to Win fans last night with her take on the classic vanilla slice, with many social media users labelling Poh’s creation as a bit, well…basic.

‘Am I the only one who thinks Poh’s dish looked dry?’ said one armchair critic.

‘Sorry Poh, I adore you but it’s just a vanilla slice,’ said another.

While a further fan commented: ‘I hate to say it but Poh’s vanilla slice looks a bit… basic.’

Others were quick to slam Poh for the amount of drama surrounding the creation of her dishes.

‘Feel like we are always in a waiting game every episode together with Poh while we wait for her food to be ready,’ said one MasterChef viewer.
