British rocker and Motörhead guitarist Eddie Clarke has passed away at age 67.
According to the official band, Motörhead Facebook page Clarke died in a hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia. “We are devastated to pass on the news we only just heard ourselves earlier tonight,” the post said.
Clarke was fondly known to fans as “Fast” Eddie due to of his talented ways and playing his guitar at a ridiculously fast and impressive pace, which was a huge part of the British heavy metal band’s early success. The late guitarist also co-wrotea number of the band’s best-known tracks, including “Ace of Spades.”
