Her special day has been eclipsed by her arch-nemesis, Duchess Meghan, with her well-wishers focusing on the fallout from Harry and Megs’ resignation from royalty, as per the Queen’s orders.
‘The Queen, the Prince of Wales, and the Duke of Cambridge have directed their teams to work at pace with governments and the Sussexes’ office to find workable solutions, and this is expected to take days, not weeks,’ Us Weekly reports.
The couple plan to be financially independent from the Monarchy, while running their own yet-to-be-announced charity and moving away from Harry’s homeland.
According to the publication’s insider, Harry and Meghan’s decision to split their time between Canada and the UK and step down from royal duties is all thanks to the American actress.
Meghan ‘is definitely leading the charge on this’ because she ‘doesn’t have a lot of ties to Kensington Palace, the people or the other royals’ in the UK.
The tome, ‘What Meghan wants, Meghan gets’ has become a theme throughout the couple’s relationship.
Their announcement follows a star-studded wedding in 2018, $5 million renovations to their family home Frogmore Cottage and continued security that costs upwards of $1 million a year – all at the cost of the taxpayer.
