At 9AM this morning, the 31-year-old Olympic gold medalist reportedly told her teammates she would not be competing in the Commonwealth Games, which officially opened last night on the Gold Coast.
Pearson had recently injured her Achilles tendon and had been avoiding running over hurdles in training.
In 2016, a hamstring injury forced her out of the Rio Olympics.
