Famed as the creator of game show sensations Wheel of Fortune and Blankety Blanks, Reg was the driving force behind some of Australia’s most popular programs including Neighbours, Prisoner, Sale of the Century and Australian Idol.
Grundy founded Reg Grundy Productions in the late 1950’s and amassed a fortune rumoured to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Veteran broadcaster Alan Jones announced the news this morning on 2GB. Reg is survived by his wife Joy Chambers, who was by his side at the time of his passing.

The media mogul’s career spanned more than 60 years across several continents. He was awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2008.
